⚓ Rental Terms & Waiver

Anchor Rentals — Wayne Bartholomew Family Park

1. Eligibility

Renters must be 18 or older to enter into this agreement. Minors may use equipment only under direct adult supervision. The renting adult assumes full responsibility for any minor using the equipment.

Kids kayaks are limited to riders under 135 lbs. Renters must be able to swim or wear a provided life jacket at all times on the water.

2. Equipment Use

• Equipment must be used only in the designated swim area of Wayne Bartholomew Family Park.
• Equipment must not be submerged, intentionally damaged, or used in a reckless manner.
• Life jackets are available and strongly recommended. Children must wear one at all times.
• Renter assumes full responsibility for the equipment from checkout until return.
• Do not leave equipment unattended on the water.

3. Return Policy

Equipment must be returned to the trailer by the due time shown in your confirmation text. The system automatically tracks return times.

4. Refundable Deposit

A fully refundable deposit is held on your card at the time of booking. The deposit is automatically released the moment your equipment is returned in acceptable condition. Deposit amounts vary by equipment type and are shown clearly at booking.

The deposit may be partially or fully captured in the event of damage, loss, or significant late return at the discretion of Anchor Rentals management.

5. Cancellation Policy

• 24+ hours before slot: 100% refund
• 2–24 hours before slot: 50% refund
• Under 2 hours before slot: No refund
• No-show: Slot released after grace period, no refund. Deposit is released since no equipment was taken.

Cancellations are processed automatically by the system. Refunds appear within 5–10 business days.

6. Damage and Loss

Renter is responsible for any damage to or loss of equipment beyond normal wear and tear. In the event of damage the renter will be contacted by management to discuss deposit deduction. If the renter disputes the damage assessment the matter will be escalated to management for review.

7. Safety and Emergencies

In the event of a water emergency call 911 immediately. Anchor Rentals staff are not trained lifeguards and cannot provide medical care. Basic first aid supplies are available at the trailer.

Anchor Rentals reserves the right to terminate a rental without refund if equipment is being used unsafely or recklessly.

8. Liability Waiver

By completing this booking you agree to release Anchor Rentals, its owners, employees, and agents from any and all liability for injury, death, property damage, or loss arising from the use of rented equipment, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

This waiver is binding on the renter and any minor in their care.
